The Kia PV5 Passenger: Details & Specifications

Space for people. Flexibility for every journey.

The Kia PV5 Passenger brings all-electric driving to family life, group travel and professional passenger transport. A spacious cabin, wide sliding side doors and a low step-in height make everyday journeys easier, while flexible seating and useful storage help you balance people, luggage and the demands of a busy day.

Choose from three equipment levels: Essential, Plus and Elite. Each is offered with five or seven seats. The five-seat Essential gives you a choice of 51.5kWh Standard Range or 71.2kWh Long Range batteries; five-seat Plus and Elite versions, and all seven-seat versions, use the 71.2kWh Long Range battery.

With up to 256 miles of combined WLTP range on five-seat Long Range versions and DC charging from 10–80% in approximately 30 minutes under suitable conditions, the PV5 Passenger is designed to fit around both everyday travel and longer journeys. Middleton Garage can help you compare the seating layouts, batteries and equipment to find your ideal version.

Three Grades, the Same Focus: Making Every Journey Easier

Essential, Plus and Elite share the PV5 Passenger’s fully electric, front-wheel-drive layout and generous cabin dimensions. All three combine connected technology with everyday comfort and a broad range of driver assistance systems. Moving through the range adds features that make frequent passenger journeys more comfortable and convenient.

Your equipment grade and seating layout are separate choices. Start with how many people you need to carry, then consider the battery range and the comfort, access and parking features that matter most to you.

Essential and Plus have manually operated sliding side doors. Elite adds electric operation and a power latch for extra convenience when welcoming passengers or managing a busy family journey. Plus and Elite also include a powered rear tailgate.

Choose the PV5 Passenger That Fits Your Life

The main choices are seating capacity, battery and equipment grade. Think about your usual passenger numbers, how much luggage travels with them and where you will charge. Middleton Garage can help you compare family use, business travel and passenger transport requirements.

Five Seats: Room for People and Their Luggage

The five-seat PV5 Passenger provides a generous luggage area behind the second row, with a published capacity of 1,330 litres. Folding the second-row seats increases the published capacity to 3,615 litres, giving you room to adapt the cabin for larger items when those seats are not needed. The five-seat specification includes 60:40 split-folding rear seats with three-stage recline.

Seven Seats: More Space for Your Group

The seven-seat version adds a third row for larger families and group journeys, with the 71.2kWh Long Range battery fitted across Essential, Plus and Elite. The specification guide lists 1,000mm of third-row legroom, helping make the additional seating useful for regular passenger journeys. Ask our team to demonstrate the seating arrangement and luggage space for your chosen version.

Published expanded luggage capacity 3,615 litres with the second row folded 785 litres; folded-seat arrangement to be confirmed
Typical use Everyday family travel, luggage-heavy journeys and business travel Larger families, group journeys and passenger transport

Seven-seat luggage figures are reproduced from the supplied preliminary guide. Its seat-row labels are inconsistent with a three-row layout, so confirm the seating positions used to measure the 318-litre and 785-litre capacities with Middleton Garage. Luggage volumes use the manufacturer’s measurement method; space available depends on seat position and what you carry.

Grade equipment is taken from the supplied specification guide and Middleton Garage’s Passenger page. Seat equipment, wheels, luggage-area fittings and paint availability should be confirmed for your chosen five-seat or seven-seat derivative. Ask our team about heat-pump specification: Kia’s grade guide and live pricing information differ by derivative and option listing. V2L requires compatible equipment and may require an appropriate accessory.

Kia’s 7-year Warranty: Confidence for the Journeys Ahead

The Kia PV5 Passenger is backed by Kia’s 7-year/100,000-mile manufacturer’s warranty, giving you reassurance for family travel and everyday business use. Remaining cover can transfer to subsequent owners, subject to Kia’s conditions. Separate high-voltage battery capacity cover extends to 8 years/100,000 miles, with a 70% capacity threshold at that limit; the current model-year terms also specify an 80% threshold at 5 years/60,000 miles. Cover is subject to Kia’s servicing requirements, terms and exclusions, and some components have shorter cover periods. Taxi and private-hire use has specific registration and mileage conditions, which our team can explain before you order.
